Tuesday, December 16, 2003 - Galactic Civilizations 1.13!
Stardock has released Galactic Civilizations 1.13 onto Stardock Central. 1.13 mainly corrects bugs and glitches that have been reported over the months. One AI change is that minor races now colonize much less than they did in previous builds making them again more...well minor.
When you load up Stardock Central, you'll probably need to go to tools and choose "Check for Updates" to see the new version since it just went up moments ago.
Does v1.13 also resolve the UP bug? I haven't been able to play with the new version yet and won't be able to until tomorrow evening or thursday (stupid exams). Can't wait!
1.13 December 16, 2003
AI Change:
+ Minor races less likely to expand
Bug Fixes:
+ fixed minimap scrolling bug
+ fixed pol party logos not showing up
+ fixed 2 up issue bug
+ fixed tradeship fleet bug
+ changed mods to be enabled by default
+ Fixed bug where trade routes minimap didn't hide when rallypoints window opened in other modes.
+ fixed mem leak in the fleet data
+ changed order that modded string tables are read in, so they should replace properly now.
sorry to be ask but when will the updates be available for download as a 'stand alone' patches ... i want to sort out my PC over xmas and ill be wiping the hard drive, i wont have the internet for a while, so no stardock, im still waiting for the 1.12 patch as a standalone (as promised)
Sorry to be a pain, had to ask ...
Thanks though for the new update ... when will it be available as a standalone patch ???
As always, a standalone download will be forthcoming in a few weeks.
Theoden of Rohan:
As always?? if thats the case why does it say 'major updates' on the download page??
All they need do is put the files in a zip file and release it, forget the installer, if its a problem for people im sure the community would step in with tutorials on how to get the files in all the right places (me included, ill help if anyone asks)
"As always, a standalone download will be forthcoming in a few weeks."
You don't ever check these out for yourself, do you Theoden of Rohan? They haven't released a download edition in a long time. They keep promising but nothing ever happens.
I don't know if a new bugaroo has emerged from the code... but since updating to 1.13, I've had the game freeze up at the end of a UP meeting a couple of times. We all vote, result comes up, then you press OK and it freezes. Not at every UP meeting, mind you, both times it was 3 or 4 meetings in. Last night it was after the "sharing technologies" topic, though I'm not sure if it was just this topic it's locked up on both times.
Apologies if this is the wrong thread for bug reporting.
Aside from that...great work on the patches, guys! They really do make all the difference.
